He was the hit of the evening and our business partner asked if we would bring him back as Ricky Bobby for another event in the following year. As Buddy the Elf, David made the Lee’s Summit Mayor’s Tree Lighting an amazing and wonderful event. Buddy promoted the event with the Kansas City News Stations, radio, and social media. We figured hiring a Will Ferrell impersonator to staff our trade show booth was either going to go great, or... not great. What we got though, was exceptional.

You might think a professional like David would just show up, wave, and take pictures when asked but...nope. What we got was an incredibly authentic Buddy the Elf who came and engaged with the show attendees, asked them if they’d seen Santa, and even occasionally pelted passers-by with his own snowballs (of the soft, woolen variety of course.) Better yet, he’d often pull people over and ask if they wanted to talk to his “friends.” What we got out of our engagement with David was a fun two days where he.worked.his.elf.booties.off.
